Gonçalo Ramos, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's forward, was influential in the victory of Portugal's Under-21s in Iceland by 0-1, in a game from matchday 3 of group D of the European Championship qualifiers.

Gonçalo Ramos was one of the standout performers and even had the chance to score for the Under-21s in Iceland. He didn't score, but he assisted Fábio Vieira at 55'. He came off at 88'. Paulo Bernardo, another eagle launched by Rui Jorge, came on at 66' to replace Tiago Dantas. 

At Estádio Algarve, the National Team hosted and thrashed  Luxembourg by 5-0, on matchday 6 of 2022 World Cup group A qualifiers. A hat-trick from Cristiano Ronaldo and the goals from Bruno Fernandes and João Palhinha sealed the win. The benfiquista João Mário came on at 65' to replace João Moutinho.

In group A, the same as Portugal, Serbia hosted and beat Azerbaijan by 3-1, with goals from Vlahovic (2) and Tadic. The Benfica player Nemanja came on at 75' and the Benfica goalkeeper Svilar was an unused substitute.

In group B, Greece, with Odysseas as a starter and playing 90 minutes, traveled to Sweden to lose by 2-0.

In group D, one more Benfica footballer in action. The Ukrainian Yaremchuk played in Ukraine's attack against Bosnia and Herzegovina (1-1) and came off at 72', when the Ukrainians were still in front. Yarmolenko opened the scoring at 15' and Ahmedhodzic equalized at 77'.
