MATCH HIGHLIGHTS

Benfica's first step towards reaching the Champions League play-off was taken in Moscow, where the team, consistent at full time, won by 0-2  away at Spartak, at the start of the 3rd qualifying round. Rafa and Gilberto, in the second half of the match, put their names in the score sheet with assists from João Mário and Lucas Veríssimo. The second leg will be played at Estádio da Luz on August 10.

For the first round against the Russian opponent, Jorge Jesus set Benfica's team in 3x4x3, with the following starting XI: Odysseas, Lucas Veríssimo, Otamendi, Vertonghen, Diogo Gonçalves, Grimaldo, Weigl, João Mário, Rafa, Pizzi and Seferovic.  

Futebol 

The tie will be decided next Tuesday, August 10, at the Estádio da Luz, on a night in which the Benfiquistas will return to the stands of the Cathedral!

1st edition of the Goalkeeper Experience was a success

For three days, between April 14 and 16, Benfica Campus hosted the 1st edition of the Goalkeeper Experience, an initiative that allowed 20 boys and girls, born between 2007 and 2012, to develop and perfect their sporting performance as goalkeepers, according to SL Benfica's training methodology. A success, to be repeated!

Five-time champions in celebration

The newly crowned five-time national champions, Benfica's women's football team, were present at the Benfica Official Store at the Estádio da Luz on Tuesday afternoon, April 15. The Inspiradoras interacted with the many fans who lined up - some even waited more than two hours for the session to start - and who didn't waste the opportunity to talk to the protagonists of the historic feat and remember the moment with photographs. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone left satisfied. “Filipa, you're the best coach in the world,” said one Benfica fan.
