2021/22 kits approved and ambitions renewed

Estádio da Luz the setting for the presentation of Sport Lisboa e Benfica's kits for the 2021/22 season. Pizzi and Paulo Bernardo gave high praise and renewed their ambition to celebrate with the Benfiquistas. 

"Both the red and the white jerseys are very nice. They are elegant, they are simple. They have a detail that I like a lot, which is 1904 [the year Sport Lisboa e Benfica was founded] on the back. With this jersey, we want to bring a lot of joy to our supporters, clinch wins, and we will do everything to achieve it", claimed Pizzi, in statements with BTV.

At Benfica since 2014/15, Pizzi has already made more than 300 appearances with an eagle on his chest.

"Those who represent Benfica know the magnitude and greatness. For all us, it must be a pride to represent this jersey. I will work hard from the very first moment, integrate in the best way those who arrive and the younger ones, so that they know they are in a great club, which is used to winning. We will work well, focused, to, in the end, get victories", he guaranteed. 

Beside Pizzi was Paulo Bernardo, a young player nurtured at Benfica Campus.

"I like both jerseys very much. I confess that I really like the 1904 detail on the back, the year in which Benfica was founded. I really liked the colors. I liked both jerseys", he stressed.

"It is a pride! Whenever a new jersey comes out, I like to have it. It has been like this since I was a child. It's a pride to be able to represent this great club", added Paulo Bernardo.
