Julian Weigl dominated the midfield! The German international was elected the "Man of the Match" by the Benfica supporters in the win over Rio Ave (2-0) on matchday 21 of the Liga NOS.

"It wasn't an easy match, especially in the first half, since it was hard for us to create chances, and we were also a bit lucky when they hit the post. We believed in us and, in the second half, we were clearly the better team, we had a lot of chances", analyzed Weigl.

"We again needed several chances to score, but today we scored two goals. We deserved the win, and now we must look forward and continue", commented the German midfielder.

"I am happy to receive this award ["Man of the Match"], but the most important thing for us are the three points. We have to continue like this. I'm happy, but you never play alone and I think everyone worked well today. The prize is for the whole team and the Benfiquistas", stressed the Eagles' number 28.
