PREVIEW

On the eve of Farense-Benfica, a game from matchday 20 of the Liga NOS, and when there are still 15 rounds left to play and 45 points up for grabs, Jorge Jesus once again points to the National Championship as the primary goal.

Between the 1st and the 2nd leg of the Europa League, how was the preparation for this match done?

That's part of the sport... I hope that in 15 days when we play for the Championship, I will be asked this question again about playing every two or every three days. It is a sign that we have eliminated Arsenal.

Jorge Jesus

What Farense do you expect to find tomorrow [Sunday]?

Like all matches in the Portuguese championship, the opponents are stronger when playing at home. We are going to have a difficult match, facing a team that has had positive results in the last few matches. Benfica has been improving, in this last month, its game intensity, but it has not been so factual in the results. We will face a defensively well-organized opponent, with players with quality and others with a lot of top-flight experience. But we have to be prepared for the difficulties and know that we must go looking for just one result: victory, all three points.

Jorge Jesus

Being that this match against Farense is in the middle of the Europa League tie, which is certainly a big goal, do you fear that the players won't be focused enough on the championship game?

The players are focused. Going from a match against Arsenal to a match against Farense is not the same. Arsenal's players are known worldwide. Arsenal was a team built for the top five in the Premier League... The most important competition is the championship. It is the way to enter the Champions League and financially have other possibilities. This is the big goal.
