Benfica's athlete beat the competition and won the award given by the site "Futsal Planet" for the second time.

In a ten-player race, Ana Catarina achieved the 1st place, with 450 votes, followed by Ana Carolina (Montesilvano C5 Femminile), with 433 votes, in 2nd place, and by Giga (Associação Female Futsal Chapecó), with 352 votes, rounding off the podium.
The women's futsal team finished in 2nd place, with 450 votes, only surpassed by the Spanish side of Burela (523 votes), with the eagles’ coach, Pedro Henriques, in 6th place (275 votes), in a category (best female team coach) won by the Brazilian Cristiane de Souza (449.
In the race for Best Female Player, the benfiquista Janice finished in 6th place (233 votes), in an election won by the Brazilian Amandinha (698 votes).
In the men's competition, Roncaglio (152 votes) finished in 9th place, with Higuita winning the category of Best Goalkeeper with 603 votes.
The Iranian Tayebi, with 216 votes, was ranked 7th in the race for the World Player of the Year title, an award won by the Brazilian Ferrão (717 votes).
