KPMG study "The European Champions Report 2021" focuses on 20 clubs from the Top European leagues.
16 January 2021, 10h28
Despite the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the world economy, Benfica has achieved a remarkable financial behavior, ending the 2019/20 season with a profit of 41.7 million euros, after 140 million euros of operational revenues.
In a study in which the finances of several European football giants were evaluated by KPMG, the gains of the reds are unparalleled, with Ajax being the outfit closest to 20.4 million euros.
Still with profits in 2019/20 come the Germans of FC Bayern (5.9 million), the Dutch of PSV (1.6 million) and the Spanish of Sevilla (1.2 million) and Real Madrid (0.3 million).
