It is the return to Benfica Campus of a well known face of the whole Sport Lisboa e Benfica football structure. Nélson Veríssimo will o take over the Club's B team, succeeding Renato Paiva.

Nélson Veríssimo

At 43, Nélson Veríssimo returns to the B team of SL Benfica, now as the head coach, after having worked as an assistant coach since the revival of the project in 2012 until the 2018/19 season. During these season seasons, he assisted Luís Norton de Matos, Hélder Cristóvão and Bruno Lage, with whom he would ascend to the First Team, having maintained functions until the end of the last season.

Nélson Veríssimo 

For this new stage, o Sport Lisboa e Benfica whishes him all the best of lucks.

For three days, between April 14 and 16, Benfica Campus hosted the 1st edition of the Goalkeeper Experience, an initiative that allowed 20 boys and girls, born between 2007 and 2012, to develop and perfect their sporting performance as goalkeepers, according to SL Benfica's training methodology. A success, to be repeated!

Five-time champions in celebration

The newly crowned five-time national champions, Benfica's women's football team, were present at the Benfica Official Store at the Estádio da Luz on Tuesday afternoon, April 15. The Inspiradoras interacted with the many fans who lined up - some even waited more than two hours for the session to start - and who didn't waste the opportunity to talk to the protagonists of the historic feat and remember the moment with photographs. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone left satisfied. “Filipa, you're the best coach in the world,” said one Benfica fan.
