It was with a clear 0-3 that SL Benfica beat Rio Ave in Matchday 4 of the Liga NOS. Waldschmidt (brace) and Gabriel scored the goals in Vila do Conde.

With four goals scored, Waldschmidt is the top scorer of Benficain the Liga NOS 2020/21. In Vila do Conde, the German was named Man of the Match.

"We did a good match, focused and concentrated. We started the game very well, with high 'pressing', we were strong, aggressive and scored. It’s a fair win!", explained the eagles’ new signing.
