Luís Filipe Vieira: "Benfica is the people"

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

The official presentation of Jorge Jesus took place this Monday at the Benfica Campus. The new coach of SL Benfica returns to a house he knows well and the Club President made a point of being the host of the moment in this "new cycle" that is now beginning. 

"Today, a new cycle begins at Benfica. We've put the three of us back together again [Luís Filipe Vieira, Rui Costa and Jorge Jesus], curiously, we are the three people who like their neighborhood and Benfica is the people!", claimed the President of the eagles.

"Jorge, we will do everything in our power to make the Benfiquista Family happy in the coming years. As you all know, we will have great difficulties [Covid-19], and I am sure that if Benfica is well, winning everything it has to win, the vast majority of this country will be happy", stressed the President.

"We welcome you, we hope to have the complete hegemony of Portuguese football back and we want to win in Europe. That's our dream! We wish you all the best, you can count on me and all the Benfiquistas", finished Luís Filipe Vieira.
