The 2020/21 season of Women's Football was launched during meeting at Benfica Museum Auditorium – Cosme Damião.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the 2019/20 was stopped and then cancelled.

"The season was going well. We were on the way to accomplish our goals…", remembered the centre-back.

"We miss the training sessions, the competition and playing for Benfica. We are ready to start strong and win more trophies. I missed our home!", said Sílvia Rebelo.

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

António Silva was the spokesman for the Benfica team that booked their ticket to the Portuguese Cup final after beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final. The central defender scored the first goal of the game.
