Chaguinha: "I'll never forget the family I built up within the club"

Chaguinha will not be part of the 2020/21 futsal squad of Sport Lisboa e Benfica. In six seasons with an eagle on his chest, the Brazilian wing helped the club win every domestic trophy: 2 National Championships, 2 Portuguese Cups, 2 Super Cups and 3 League Cups.

Arrival in 2014

"I was very well received. I've always heard of Benfica's greatness, but I've been able to prove that it's much greater than I imagined. Few clubs in the world that have the structure you see at Benfica and the care they have with athletes."

"Benfica is a club that has always played to win everything. I'm sorry for the losses I had at club, but I'm very proud and honored by the titles I've won with this jersey. I'll never forget the fans and the family I built up within the Club."
