SL Benfica is the 2nd club in the world that has provided more players to the Big Five
Concludes the Football Observatory (CIES) by analyzing the current squads of the top five leagues in Europe.

In an analysis of the composition of the current squads of the top five European leagues, the Football Observatory (CIES) concludes that SL Benfica is the second club in the world that has provided more players (21) to the Big Five.
According to this study, and based on the squads that were known in March of this year, eagles only fall behind the Dutch of Ajax (22) when it comes to putting players in Europe's richest leagues – Spain, England, Germany, Italy and France. In the last spot of the podium (3.º) comes RB Salzburg (20 players).
All of them national champions with the Sacred Mantle, João Félix, Ederson, Lindelof, Nélson Semedo, Gonçalo Guedes and Renato Sanches are some of the talents that contributed for Benfica's recent success (five league titles in six year!) and who, as the result of their performances with an eagle on their chest, caught the attention of clubs from the Top five league and were transferred.
