SL Benfica, through the Benfica Foundation, and the National Republican Guard (GNR) have initiated a partnership to support about 3000 isolated elderly people and already flagged under the "Programa Apoio 65 - Idosos em Segurança", an initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and implemented by the GNR.

The initiative will initially involve the allocation of 3000 individual food packs under the slogan "Together we take care of you"  and will reinforce the objective of the Program already underway of strong proximity to this high-risk group, given that it deals with the 3000 cases of social fragility out of the total of 41 000 involved in the Program.

Additionally, 3 ventilators have already been purchased and will be made available to the National Health Service, namely to Hospitals in the Metropolitan Area of Lisbon, Porto, and Coimbra.
