Sport Lisboa e Benfica formalized with Al Sharjah an agreement for the loan of Caio Lucas. The loan of the winger to the United Arab Emirates club is valid for 18 months.

Wearing the Sacred Mantle since the summer of 2019, Caio had his first opportunity in official matches on September 1. Benfica beat SC Braga by 0-4 and the Brazilian was launched by Bruno Lage in the 75th minute.

He scored his first goal for the reds on December 14, 2019. The eagles won against FC Famalicão by 4-0 at Estádio da Luz. The winger came on in the last five minutes and scored at 89'.

In this journey with an eagle on his chest, Caio, 25, took part in 11 matches for Benfica (4 in the Liga NOS, 2 in the Portuguese Cup, 2 in the League Cup and 3 in the Champions League).
