STATEMENTS

The goal scored in the 89th minute in the home match against Aves (2-1) earned André Almeida – who returned to the starting XI this Friday – the Man of the Match award in the game from matchday 16 of the Liga NOS.

“I felt good. It's the result of a great deal of work by our medical department and LAB, who prepared me in the best way to return to competitive action back”, said to BTV the number 34, who was sidelined for a month due to injury.

“The team had a very good posture from the beginning of the first half, always closing down the opponent. Unfortunately, the goals weren't coming, but we created many occasions. We conceded the goal, but we kept pushing and it was this energy that comes from the stands that spread to us and luckily we got all three points”, analyzed the skipper, who scored his second goal in 2019/20.
