Pizzi did not hide his disappointment at the end of the game in Germany (2-2) which dictated the farewell of Benfica in the Champions League 2019/20.

“Now we must win the last match [Zenit] because here at Benfica we always play to win, to get the three points. That is our goal. That's what we're going to do at the last match. We came in with everything from the first minute, in the next game we have to do the same and then do the math. We had everything in hand and we let it slip away”, he admitted.

“We have a match on Saturday [at home against Marítimo for the Liga NOS] to give a response”, he remembered.
