Athletics
The red athlete has always been in a medal position since the start of a top-level triple jump final in the World Athletics Championships, but the last round has changed the scenario.
29 September 2019, 21h26
The athlete from Sport Lisboa e Benfica jumped 17,62 meters in a top-level final and was just four centimeters away from the 3rd place. He was the best 4th place ever; for the first time in history a jump higher than 17,60 meters did nor earn a medal.
Christian Taylor achieved the 1st place (17,92 meters), Will Claye was 2nd (17,74 meters) and Hugues Fabrice Zango (Burkina Faso) rounded off the podium, after jumping 17,66 meters.
