Benfica is the grand winner of the 2019 International Champions Cup

Sport Lisboa e Benfica won the 2019 International Champions Cup! The important preseason tournament, that brings together some of the giants of world football, has been won by the eagles.

With nine points amassed in three matches, the eagles won the prestigious preseason tournament.

O Presidente do Benfica, Luís Filipe Vieira, fez questão de parabenizar a equipa encarnada pela conquista do prestigiado torneio.

"The International Champions Cup is the most prestigious pre-season tournament in the world, with the presence of the best teams and therefore it means a lot to Benfica to win this title. Overall it was a great experience for all team members who competed at the highest level in the United States, where we had great support from our fans. We are very happy to have won this tournament and hope to be able to participate in the ICC again next summer", praised Luís Filipe Vieira.

Benfica began its campaign in the ICC with 3-0 win over Chivas Guadalajara, at the Levi's Stadium, in California.

The following match took place in New Jersey, where the Clube da Luz faced Fiorentina (1-2).
