Florentino Luís renews contract until 2023

Florentino Luís, a 19-year-old midfielder (19.08.1999), renewed his contract with Sport Lisboa e Benfica until 2023.

Florentino's connection to the Club started in 2010. It was on this year that he joined Benfica, as a U-12 player, coming from Real SC. This is his 9th season representing the Eagles.

In his journey with the Sacred Mantled, the midfielder became U-15 National Champion (2013/14) and U-19 National Champion (2017/18) and was a finalist in the UEFA Youth League in 2016/17.

With 65 caps so far, Florentino went through the several youth teams of Portugal: U-15 (2 matches), U-16 (10), U-17 (16), U-19 (26) and U-20 (11). He scored one goal.

He has clinched several titles for Portugal’s youth teams: U-17 European Champion (2016), U-19 European Vice-Champion (2017) and U-19 European Champion (2018). He also played the U-20 World in 2017, when he was still a U-18 player.
