A 2-all draw against GD Chaves in opening of Week 6 of the Liga NOS. Rafa scored a brace in an intense match, in a difficult ground, and in which the team deserved another result.
27 September 2018, 23h46
At the end of the match, the scorer of the two goals from the eagles analyzed the match.
“It is not positive because we did not get the win and that is the most important for us and not the individual performances. The team always comes first, we tried to win, we worked, but we did not achieve our goal and we ended up leaving this ground with just a draw”, he explained in the flash interview.
“All teams play to make things difficult for us and we know that! This is a difficult ground, we tried to go against that, we were in front twice, we were not able to hold the lead, but we worked to win”, analyzed the Portuguese international.
With this result, SL Benfica has 14 points in the Liga NOS. Next comes the trip to Athens, next Tuesday (8 pm), to face AEK, in a match from week 2 of the Champions League Group E. Then, on Sunday. October 7, the "clássico" takes place...
“The Championship is long, we will work to reach our goals in the end. We cannot be thinking about the game against FC Porto, we are thinking about the Champions League game we have ahead of us and that is our focus”, concluded Rafa.
