Salvio: “We deserved to have scored more goals”

It was with a 3-2 that Sport Lisboa e Benfica kicked off the Liga NOS. Against Vitória de Guimarães, Pizzi scored a hat-trick and left the reds winning by 3-0, but the "vimaranenses" until the end and the eagles had to work hard in the last 20 minutes.

We did a great first half. In the second half, in most of the time we did a great match, then, in the last minutes, I don't know if we relaxed a little bit, but on the other side was also a good team, with good players. The important is the win and I want to thank the fans who supported us throughout the 90 minutes. It was a very positive day for us”, started by saying Salvio.

The international put in a good performance, he suffered the penalty that Douglas denied Ferreyra, he had opportunities to score and he was decisive in the build-up of the goals from the Reds.

“Vitória believed until the end, they have a good team, however, for the match we did, for what we worked, I think that the team deserved to have scored more goals. But we won and we are happy!”, concluded the number 18 of Rui Vitória's team.

In the Liga NOS, next comes the trip to Bessa, scheduled for 7 pm on August 18.
