Sport Lisboa e Benfica – Futebol, SAD has renewed contract with the coach Bruno Lage until 2023.

The agreement was communicated by Benfica's football managing company to the Securities Market Commission. The document states that the contract is valid until June 30, 2023.

Carlos José Dias Costa is 85 years old and lives in Porto. One day, after hearing Bruno Lage in a post-match press conference, he was moved and decided to send a letter to the Benfica coach. In addition to being a member of Benfica, Dias Costa is a BTV subscriber and has a profound knowledge of the work of the Benfica Foundation. He buys the O Benfica newspaper every Friday. Unfortunately, he can no longer read. He has a glaucoma, which limits his vision, and so he asks his wife (Mrs. Lucília) to read him the newspaper from the first to the last page. His father was once Benfica's treasurer and he was friends with... Cosme Damião. A conversation with the Benfica coach had been scheduled for a long time. The time has come. Thank you, Gaffer! #OBenficaFazBem
