Man of the Match

Pizzi scored one goal and provided four assist in Benfica's trashing of Nacional (10-0) on matchday 21of the Liga NOS. Named the Man of the Match, the Eagles' number 21 congratulated the entire squad for the "excellent work" done.

"We made a great match. We were focused on what we wanted to do from the first moment. We were able to score in the first few seconds, that helped us a lot and the entire squad is to be congratulated for the excellent work we did", he stated in statements to BTV.

With four assists delivered this evening, the red midfielder further reinforces the status of leader of assists in the Liga NOS. The player from the Eagles has 13 assists in the Championship and stressed that assists are his purpose as a player.

"I am very happy with the season I have been making, but, without the work from the entire team and without the help of my teammates, this would not be possible and I hope to continue every day, in each training session, to improve and offer more goals to my teammates, which is my purpose as a player", he claimed.
