Benfica is already preparing the clash with the V. Guimarães, this time for the Liga NOS, after Tuesday's triumph (0-1) in the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup.

Due to the fact that there are two clashes with the "Vimaranenses" in a space of three days, Benfica's squad stayed in Alto Minho in this period and trained in Fafe on Wednesday. The non-used players in the Portuguese Cup match stepped onto the pitch, with the exception of Gedson, who came on in the final minutes of the match.

The game of matchday 18 of the Portuguese top flight is scheduled for 9:15 pm on Friday, January 18, at the Estádio D. Afonso Henriques.

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.
