"I have to thank this great club. I am very happy. I've achieved good things here. I want to keep scoring goals many goals with this jersey. I have the greatest affection and respect for this club. I also hope we manage to get more collective successes, "said the forward who reached a 100 goals for Benfica last Sunday, against Vitória de Setúbal.
A number that, according to Jonas, would not be possible without the help of his teammates. The 33-year-old striker thanked the teammates and reinforced the idea that the milestone reached is another evidence of the squad cohesion.
"I really need my teammates and there is nothing better than being in tune. Every goal that I score I point to the player who made the pass and I call everyone to celebrate. I have reached 100 goals and I must thank every teammate. Not only who made the assists but also who built the plays, "said the Brazilian forward who is now the second-best foreigner goal scorer in the history of Benfica, after Oscar Cardozo.
