 After the Emirates Cup, the defender has analyzed the performance of the team and its current situation.

"It was a tournament with rough opponents, but the most important thing was to improve our physical condition, almost the entire squad has performed and now it’s up to the coach to decide. I think we are ready for the Super Cup", said Grimaldo.

The defender assures that the defeats do not undermine the group's confidence. "No, nothing is going to change, now it's time for the Super Cup and we are very confident", he added.

When questioned about Vitória de Guimarães, the opponent for the Super Cup, Grimaldo says that the favoritism is on Benfica's side, the winner of the last four editions. "We only think about Benfica and I think we're ready to get the first title of the year. We'll have a week to get prepared in order to win the Super Cup", he concluded.

Benfica-Arouca: extended match highlights

Benfica drew (2-2) with Arouca on Sunday, April 13, in a match from matchday 29 of the Liga Betclic, played at the Estádio da Luz and marked by controversial refereeing that penalized the Eagles. At half-time there was time to pay tribute to two-time European champion José Augusto (who turned 88), Miccoli (the former player returned to the Cathedral) and the Inspiradoras, who became five-time national champions on Saturday.

Miccoli returned to the Estádio da Luz, where, on Sunday, April 13, during half-time of the Benfica-Arouca (2-2) match of round 29 of the Liga Betclic, he once again set foot on the pitch. Proud and grateful to the Benfica fans and the club, the former striker - who wore the Manto Sagrado in 2005/06 and 2006/07 - was greeted with applause from the fans, who watched images of some of his best moments with the eagle on his chest, in this beautiful tribute! “Go Benfica! Always,” shared the former player.
