Andreia Faria is Benfica's 16th new signing

One more new signing for the women's football team: her name is Andreia Faria, she is a center-midfielder and she confesses to being proud for wearing the Sacred Mantle in the 2018/2019 season.

“It is an explainable feeling, a feeling of huge pride because, given my age, I am representing a huge club, so I feel very happy”, starting by saying Andreia Faria, in statements to BTV.

Born in Vila Real, Andreia Faria tells she started playing football ten years ago with the boys and that last season she made her debut playing with girls: “I always played with boys since I was 8, I had spells at clubs such as Diogo Cão, Abambres and last year I played my first with the girls, at Vilaverdense and now here I am”, she said.

The Portuguese U-18 international has already represented several categories for the Portuguese national team and she considers herself a player that makes the team play.

“I am a U-16, U-17 and U-19 international, I intend to reach the Senior National Team. I consider myself a skillful player, I like to have the ball and make the team play, that why I like being a center-midfielder”, she confessed.
