After the three points won in the Amoreira – a victory by 1-2 over Estoril – Benfica prepares to host  CD Tondela.

The record of matches at Estádio da Luz is short and the calculations are easy to make: a 100% winning record for the Reds, with eight goals scored in 180 minutes.

It was in May 2015 that Clube Desportivo de Tondela was promoted to the Portuguese top flight for the first time, three after the unprecedented promotion to the 2nd division. Consequently, the trips from Viseu to Estádio da Luz are few. In fact, there were only two: in 2015/16 and 2016/17.

The encounters in the Catedral always occurred in the second half of the Championship – in rounds 26 and 18, in chronological order – in two seasons that ended with the Reds celebrating the conquest of the national title.

In these two home matches, Benfica has always scored four goals (4-0, on March 14, 2016, and 4-1, on January 22, 2017) and, in each one of the occasions, in front of more than 50 thousand spectators.

On Saturday, it is expected another sold out stadium and a Red Wave that follows Benfica everywhere to watch the match from week 32 of the Liga NOS. The fight for the Fifth League title in a row will be "until the end" and the encounter against Tondela is the first of the last three finals in the most important competition of the Portuguese football.
