Squad with its eyes on Portimão

After beating Rio Ave by 5-1 and scoring 52 goals in 21 rounds of Liga NOS, Benfica, the team that scores the most in the competition, works to face Portimonense at 8:30 pm on Saturday, in Algarve, in Round 22.

Maintaining routines, the benfiquista squad started Tuesday very early in of Seixal, having breakfast before 9:00 am. With energy, the players then trained at field n.º 3 of Caixa Futebol Campus.

Following the logic of integration of young values in the first team, Rui Vitória had six elements that usually play for the B team under him. João Félix, Gedson Fernandes, Ferro, Chris Willock, Florentino Luís and Keaton Parks were the youngsters who trained under the coach.

Krovinovic and Salvio, who is recovering from the injury picked up in the match against Rio Ave, were the only ones absent from the training session.

At Portimão, in a demanding challenge, the reds will play to get the three points in this journey, confident there will be no lack of support, since there are expected 2500 Benfiquistas in the stands, for now, but there are still tickets available at Casas do Benfica with a ticketing system.
