Telma Monteiro is the major reference in the sport at the Club and in Portugal. Our athlete won the only medal for Portugal (bronze) at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games. With a unique resume, she has six European gold medals among the fifteen she has won in that competition, as well as four silver medals and one bronze in world championships.
Currently, SLB also features two more high-level international judokas in its Olympic project: Bárbara Timo, world vice-champion in the -70kg category and bronze in the 2021 Lisbon European Championship, and Rochele Nunes, Bronze medalist at the Paris Grand Slam, silver medalist at the Tbilisi Grand Slam, and bronze at the Lisbon European Championship in her +78kg category.
In the men's sector, there is also a reference in the Olympic project for Rodrigo Lopes, in the -60 kg category, bronze at the Budapest Grand Slam, vice-champion at the University European Championship, and Anri Egutidze, in the -81 kg category, fifth in the Lisbon European Championship.
