Education because there’s a clear educational objective with the promotion of a non-formal learning environment and a closer contact with teaching institutions. Integration since it promotes the implementation of projects focused on ensuring the accessibility for all visitors providing the same experiences for everyone equally.

Cultural Mediators

It’s impossible to convey the magnitude of Benfica in only one language. For this reason, I love to communicate with the foreign audiences, since it is the communication that enriches my knowledge about sports in the world scene. I live Benfica’s history every day and through that history and through the visitors, I become more and more fascinated by this Club. Benfica calls out to our emotion and using that emotion is was sets the difference between telling the Club’s history and living it. I usually like to associate Benfica to the visitors’ clubs. This way it’s easier to share Benfica mystique. The best reward is to know that the visitors leave with the idea of how important Benfica is in Portugal and the world..

I love the history of Sport Lisboa e Benfica and my work is based on how I manage to express the experiences, passions, stories and memories of that history. I love to conduct institutional visits as well as to accompany visitors that already have some knowledge on SLB’s history.

I’m the most curious person on the team! I’m always eager to learn new things and have new stories to tell. I learn a lot with the public and I really love to be able to pass on my knowledge to our young visitors.

My academic training in tourism is an essential tool in my work. I think that our Museum is a major touristic attraction in Lisbon and I like to advertise it as a must-visit reference of our capital: a place where the history of Benfica and the history of Lisbon are intrinsically combined.

I think that the Museum is a place where we can share knowledge with visitors. My training in Tourism has sparked my fondness for interacting with different audiences. In my everyday life, I dedicate myself conveying not only the history of Sport Lisboa e Benfica but also the Club’s passion and mystique. Above all, I’m interested in the life stories of those who visit us, which are a source of knowledge for me. As a Benfica fan, I’m fascinated with the glorious past of the Club and the history that is written every day in the every sport.

The Museum is not only a place of learning and communication but also a place of history and stories. It’s wonderful to be able to communicate the history of the Club and hear the visitors share their experiences and stories about Benfica! I also love to participate and develop activities for children, since they require a different dynamic and a lot of imagination, two very important aspects of the work I perform daily.

I’m very passionate about the king-sport and never refuse a good debate about the history of football. In my opinion the Museum is not only a place where Benfica’s history is told but also a place where visitors and mediators can exchange points of view. A living museum is a free discussion forum. I like to conduct tours for an audience that wishes to absorb the Museum’s contents while enjoying a nice conversation.

What I praise the most in my work is its diversity. This is the aspect I believe it defines better my love for the Club’s history and my affection for Benfica. Knowing that I might help to turn more visitors, from all over the world, into enthusiastic Benfica supporters is my daily goal.

I’m a Benfica fan since I’ve known myself and I’ve always loved to communicate my knowledge about SLB. I particularly enjoy receiving audience with special needs for it is a huge responsibility. When I realise that a blind visitor was able to fully experience what the Museum has to offer I feel incredibly proud and I know that my job was well done.

The Museum is a dynamic and interactive place and allows me to learn new things constantly. I particularly like to communicate with different audiences while trying to show the Mística (mystique) and memory of Sport Lisboa e Benfica to the visitors. My job also gives me the opportunity to make tours and several activities with the younger public.

I absolutely love museums. And I truly believe that museums are important educational institutions. Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião is no exception and it’s really interesting to work in its educational project, ensuring a proper reception of the public and a diligent approach concerning the diversity in the Museum’s activities.

I’ve always enjoyed working with the public! I truly appreciate the diversity of cultures and different ways of communication that we can use nowadays. One of my greatest goals is to create good experiences for our visitors but one thing is for sure, either I’m communicating the history of our Club or working on several other activities, I always try to show how rich Benfica culture really is!
