Demystified Chemistry

In this activity, sport and chemistry are part of the same team! In an exciting, guided tour to Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião, we will discover how some objects on display can combine art and science. At the Storage, Conservation and Restoration Department, like real scientists, we will demystify chemistry and understand how important it is for the conservation and preservation of the Sport Lisboa e Benfica collection.

In the Department of Storage, Conservation and Restoration it is possible to perform the following experiment:

With an eagle eye, we will analyse in detail some objects from the collection, trying to identify their characteristics and how they act according to the materials they contain. Besides victories and emotions, what is a Sport Lisboa e Benfica trophy made of?
