David Silva, a referee from Porto FA, was appointed by the Portuguese Football Federation to officiate Tirsense-Benfica in the first leg of the Portuguese Cup. The match takes place at the Estádio Cidade de Barcelos at 8:45 pm on Wednesday, April 9.

Carlos Campos and Nélson Cunha will be the assistants and Miguel Fonseca the fourth official.

The video referee (VAR) will be Paulo Barradas, and the assistant (AVAR) Vasco Marques.

On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
