Aktürkoğlu and Pavlidis, players from Benfica's professional football team, took part in Turkey's (0-3, against Hungary) and Greece's (0-3, against Scotland) victories to qualify for League A of the Nations League on Sunday, March 23rd.

In the second leg of the play-off for access to this level of competition, after the 3-1 win in the first leg, Aktürkoğlu was part of Vincenzo Montella's eleven against Hungary. And at the Puskás Arena, the Eagles forward led the rapid transition that led to 0-2, scored by Arda Güler in the 39th minute.

Earlier, in the 36th minute, he had passed to Yüksek, who was fouled for a penalty, which Çalhanoglu converted in the 37th minute. In the second half, Aktürkoğlu was substituted in the 64th minute.

In the first leg, Benfica's No. 17 scored a goal, as did Kökcü, who was not an option due to his yellow card in that game, which ruled him out of the Budapest clash.

Pavlidis

At Hampden Park in Glasgow, Pavlidis captained Greece, who were fighting to qualify against Scotland, after a 0-1 home defeat. The Greek striker was replaced by Galanopoulos in the 83rd minute, when the score was 0-3 in favor of the Greek side, who held on to their lead until the end.

António Silva was on the bench for Portugal's 5-2 win over Denmark at the Estádio José Alvalade in the second leg of the Nations League quarter-finals (5-3 on aggregate). In the first leg, the Portuguese national team lost 1-0 in Denmark and tonight's match was decided in extra time, after 3-2 in regulation time. Portugal is through to the semi-finals.

Trubin was also an unused substitute in Ukraine's 3-0 defeat to Belgium in Genk in the second leg of the League A play-off. This defeat made promotion impossible for the Ukrainians, who had won 3-1 at home in the first leg.
