The Sport Lisboa e Benfica Stadium and the Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião open their doors on the evening of February 28, Friday, for a special edition of Stadium & Museum By Night, in celebration of the Club's 121st anniversary.

In this unique experience, on Sport Lisboa e Benfica's birthday, visitors will have exclusive access to the first team dressing room, guided tours of the stadium's most emblematic spaces and an immersive virtual and augmented reality experience, with video and audio. The Vitória mascot will be there to liven up the evening and guarantee a Benfica style portrait. The route will be illuminated with LED lights, creating a magical atmosphere throughout the visit.

Stadium & Museum By Night

At the Benfica Museum - Cosme Damião, as part of the celebrations, visitors will be able to explore the temporary exhibition “One for All and All for the Stadium - Memories of Estádio da Luz (1954-2003)”, which recalls the construction and impact of the old Estádio da Luz of over the years, as well as many memories of fans who were part of those 70 years of history. Find out all the information here.

In addition, the “Written Portraits” project, by writer André Pereira, invites visitors to take home a special souvenir, a personalized poem, written on a typewriter, inspired by the face of each Benfica fan. Stadium & Museum By Night will run from 6:30 pm to 11:00 pm.

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
