Marcos Leonardo, who wore the Benfica jersey for the first time in January 2024, is leaving the club to join Al-Hilal, from Saudi Arabia.

Coming from Santos, the Brazilian striker played 21 matches for Benfica in the second half of the 2023/24 season, divided between the Championship (14), Europa League (4), Portuguese Cup (2) and League Cup (1).

In these matches, Marcos Leonardo scored seven goals. The forward debuted with the eagle on his chest on the afternoon/evening of January 14, 2024, in a matchday 17 of the league. At the Cathedral, he came on in the 63rd minute and, with a goal, contributed to the Reds' victory (4-1).

Marcos Leonardo has also hit the back of the net against Boavista, Estrela da Amadora, Vizela, Estoril and Braga, where he scored twice in a 3-1 win in matchday 31, on April 27, 2024.

In the current 2024/25 season, the Brazilian striker was a substitute against Famalicão, Casa Pia and Moreirense, scoring Benfica's goal in the last match.

His cycle with the red jersey comes to an end after 24 games and 8 goals scored.
