Away jersey with "meteoric" tribute to the fans

Sport Lisboa e Benfica and adidas are launching the new away jersey for the 2024/25 season through a "meteoric" tribute to all Benfiquistas, calling them "fans from another world". The new jersey goes on sale this Wednesday, July 3.

In the previous two seasons, the club focused on celebrating the city of Lisbon and the "fans around the world". In the current 2024/25 season, the aim is to pay tribute to the loyal community that supports Benfica, giving it a universal character.

To this end, 3D content has been created, inspired by the "alignment of the stars" in 1904, the date of the Club's foundation. This will then be the basic theme of the new jersey, forming part of its design.

The video starts in Lisbon, depicting some of the city's landmarks, such as a panoramic view of the Tejo river, focuses on the stadium and features some shots of foreign cities, in which we can identify supporters through Benfica details.

In a narrative celebrating the Club's 120th anniversary, the first teams' squads are represented by three players - João Neves, Orkun Kökcü and Lúcia Alves - who star in the unveiling of the new jersey.

Surprised by an unusual sound and light, the players head to the center of the pitch and see a meteorite fall, bringing with it the new jersey.

The new Sacred Mantle features a design inspired by the graphics of the constellations and comes to life in an epic moment when the players are already wearing the jersey.

It's an approach that aims to show the authenticity and passion that unites the universe of fans.

The new jersey is on sale from Wednesday, July 3, in official SL Benfica and adidas official stores, as well as in the main sports stores in the country with a recommended retail price of €100.
