Another medal for Diogo Ribeiro at the 2024 Spanish Open! On Friday afternoon, June 21, the Benfica swimmer won gold in the 50-meter freestyle, bronze in the 100-meter freestyle and gold in the 50-meter butterfly.

Competing in lane 3, the Benfica swimmer was neck and neck with Spain's Sergio De Celis Montalbán. The two athletes completed the distance in 22.16 seconds, sharing the top spot on the podium. Oscar Pascual Buldon came 3rd (22.18 seconds).

In the qualifying round, Diogo Ribeiro came 3rd with a time of 22.36 seconds. Miguel Nascimento finished the race in 23.11 seconds, in 16th place.
