Benfica-Moreirense

Tiago Gouveia

STATEMENTS TO BTV

Tiago Gouveia, youngster made in Benfica, was the author of two assists in the Glorioso's victory over Moreirense, first a serving Kökcü to open the scoring in the 18th minute, 18', and then making a great pass that invited Rollheiser to score his first goal with an eagle on his chest, making it 3-0 in the 79th minute.

Called upon to receive the Man of the Match award, the Eagles' No. 47 made a point of preceding his statements with a gesture of solidarity with opponents - members of the football family - who are going through difficult times.

"First, I'd like to say a word, a hug, to Rui Duarte, who unfortunately lost his son. I'd like to send him and his family, the team and the club a big hug. I'd also like to say a word to Diogo Fonseca, from Estrela da Amadora, who suffered a serious injury in the game against Rio Ave. Send him a hug too and get well", he started by saying.

"We were effective, we played well, we defended well, and that's the most important thing. I'm happy with the win"

Tiago Gouveia

"It was a very difficult game. Moreirense were a very well-trained team, with a fantastic midfield and players with a lot of quality. It's very difficult to press, they find the open man very well, it's very complicated, but we did our job, we were effective, we played well, we defended well, and that's the most important thing."

"On a personal level, this means what it always means. I'm always here ready to help the team, whether it's for 5 or 10 minutes, or even if I don't play. Sometimes it's complicated, everyone wants to play, but I'm always here to respond when it comes to me, and I'll continue whenever possible, whenever I get minutes and opportunities, to give my all and help the team. It doesn't always go well, today it went well once again, I'm very happy about that, but happier, obviously, for the victory."
