Benfica's women's handball team won the FAP Cup after beating Academia São Pedro do Sul (29-21), on Sunday afternoon, April 14. With this victory at the Pavilhão Municipal de São Pedro do Sul, Benfica reached the 1,000th title in its history, in terms of official national and international competitions in men's and women's team sports at senior level!

Having secured another historic page, the two-time national champions now turn their attention to the semi-final of the EHF European Cup. In the first leg, scheduled for 4 pm on Sunday, April 21, Benfica face MSK IUVENTA Michalovce at the Chemkostav Arena in Slovakia.
