Leo Kokubo has been called up to Japan's U-23 squad for the private matches against Mali and Ukraine, while Álvaro Carreras has been included in the squad for the preparation match against Slovakia and the clash with Belgium, part of the qualifying phase for the European Championship in 2025.

The Japanese goalkeeper will be available for the home friendlies against the Mali U-23s in Kyoto on March 22 and Ukraine U-23s in Fukuoka on March 25.

The left-back is among the 23 players called up by the Spain Under-21 coach for the friendly match against Slovakia on March 21 at the Chapín Municipal Stadium in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain), as well as the game against Belgium. This match, which is part of qualifying Group B for the 2025 European Championship, is scheduled for March 26 at the Power Horse Stadium in Almería (Spain).
