Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that it has reached an agreement with Olympiacos, Greece, for the permanent transfer of footballer Chiquinho.

A member of Benfica's squad since 2019/20, Chiquinho made 38 appearances and scored three goals in the 2,380 minutes he played in his debut year. The following season, 2020/21, he made 27 appearances and scored four goals.

In 2021/22 he was loaned out to SC Braga and, in the second half of that season, to Turkish side Giresunspor.

Chiquinho returned to Benfica in 2022/23 and, in a global journey that ended with the club winning its 38th National Championship, he played 44 games and scored two goals. In 2023/24, he made 17 appearances.

At Benfica, the midfielder won one national championship and two Cândido de Oliveira Super Cups.

SL Benfica wishes Chiquinho all the best in this new phase of his career.
