Tiago Gouveia
Speaking to Sport TV on Thursday evening, December 21, Tiago Gouveia began by saying a few words about AVS, "a 2nd League team, but with players of great quality".
Giving credit to his opponents, the young player nurtured at the club reflected on the work of the team.
"We're a Premier League team, a champion team, but we knew we'd be up against a quality AVS team here, who are fighting to go up. We're very happy. We wanted to win, win well and play well. Furthermore, we succeeded, and we're very happy about that," he said.
TIAGO GOUVEIA'S GOAL
"I've been dreaming of this moment for 22 years. I managed to make it happen today, but I certainly don't want to stop there. With all due respect to AVS and the League Cup, a player always wants to play more and play in bigger competitions. That's what I do every day, I fight for my place. I know it's very difficult, there are world champions, European champions, and it's great to have them here and grow with them. I know my time will come. I respect the manager's decisions. Every day I'm going to show that I'm here, and when the manager decides I should play, I'll be here to respond," concluded the Eagles' No. 47.
