Frustration at the countless goal-scoring opportunities that were created but failed to materialize. This was João Mário's feeling at the end of Benfica-Farense (1-1), matchday 13 of the Liga Betclic, at Estádio da Luz.

The Benfica midfielder said that matches like the one on Friday, December 8, happen "once a season". "Today was that game. We created so many chances, both in the first and second half," he said. 

The 36 shots taken by the Benfica team in the clash with Farense show that the players tried everything to get the three points.

"Nothing can be pointed out to the team, we tried from the first minute to the last. It's one of those games that's hard to explain. It's frustrating", said the No.20, before giving a glimpse into the future: "It's about working on it."

And already on the horizon is the match against Salzburg in Austria on Tuesday, December 12, at 8 pm, on matchday 6 of the Champions League group stage, where Benfica need to win by a two-goal margin to progress to the Europa League.

"We want to give an answer on Tuesday, that's what this group always does, it's work and think about the next game. We need to score at least two goals... It's about working on the finishing aspect to improve that aspect", said João Mário.
