Sport Lisboa e Benfica already followed by more than 2 million fans on TikTok, the first Portuguese club to reach this number.

Since the first post, on September 24, 2019, the activity has never stopped and the Club’s TikTok account counts, to date, more than 200 million views and 25 million interactions.

This mark is another step in the consolidation of the Club’s social media strategy and comes after a season (2022/23) in which the six main social media accounts recorded remarkable numbers. In total, audience growth was 23% and 2.3 billion impressions, 534 million views and 150 million interactions were recorded.

It should be noted that, in the last two seasons, the Club has been promoting proximity and interaction with the Benfiquistas, having launched new social network accounts: Other Sports Instagram and Twitter, Benfica Campus Instagram and Benfica eSports Instagram, in addition to a strong bet on Women’s Football Instagram.

Benfica-Tirsense: extended match highlights (4-0)

In front of almost 50,000 spectators at the Estádio da Luz, Benfica confirmed their qualification for the 2024/2025 Portuguese Cup final on Wednesday night, April 23, by beating Tirsense 4-0 in the second leg of the semi-final (goals from António Silva, Bajrami, Belotti and Barreiro). In the first game, the Eagles had won 0-5. Thus, with a 9-0 aggregate in the semi-final, the Glorioso reached the decisive match of the Portuguese Cup for the 39th time. On their way to Jamor, the Reds overcame Pevidém (0-2), Estrela da Amadora (7-0), Farense (1-3), SC Braga (1-0) and, finally, Tirsense in a two-legged tie.

A moving tribute to Humberto Coelho

Having celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday, April 20, Humberto Coelho received a heartfelt and well-deserved tribute on Wednesday, April 23, at the Estádio da Luz, during half-time of the Benfica-Tirsense (4-0) second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-finals. Captain for many years, he wore the Manto Sagrado for “14 fantastic seasons” and, on the pitch, he gave a special thanks to the fans. "This is more than soul, it's an extraordinary mystique! Only at Benfica can you feel this recognition and this glory and memory of having played for the best club in the world," said the former central defender.
