SL Benfica and Eastwood Community Football Club establish partnership

Sport Lisboa e Benfica established an agreement with Eastwood Community Football Club, which aims to implement a technical partnership over the next five years, which will allow the Club's coaches to work permanently in the Nottingham region, in England, an area with a strong football tradition.

A joint partner, Mango Football, will be part of this pilot project, with a view to setting up further technical partnerships in other regions of the United Kingdom.

"We believe that also in more sophisticated markets, such as English soccer, we can bring innovation", mentioned Bernardo Faria de Carvalho, director Global Expansion SL Benfica.

"This is a first technical partnership in the UK with the possibility of implementing the Benfica methodology in a region with a strong sports culture. Eastwood has a good football project, a strong connection to its community, and, like Benfica, education plays a central role in the development of athletes", he finished.

Darryl Craypole, president of Eastwood CFC, reports the beginning of a "new era" for the English emblem. "This partnership signifies a new era, full of excitement, ambition and endless possibilities. We look forward to embarking on this incredible journey with Benfica and writing a landmark chapter in the annals of football", summarizes the manager of the club formed in 2014 and that has as its mission the development of young players.

For Mango Football, this is an "incredible partnership". "At Mango Football we had the opportunity to work with the two clubs that have the vision to develop and encourage young players to play football, in a way that not only helps them become better players, but gives them the foundation to become good young citizens in the community", stressed Graham Barber, president of Mango Football.

"We are also happy to support the project, allowing the players of Eastwood Community FC and Benfica to enjoy experiences they will never forget for the rest of their lives", highlighted Graham Barber.
