Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that it has reached an agreement with Grupo Desportivo de Chaves for the transfer, on a permanent basis, of the athlete Sandro Cruz, keeping, however, 50 percent of the economic rights of the player.

The left defender has had eight seasons with the eagle on his chest, during which time he became national champion with U-15s (2015/16), U-17s (2017/18) and U-19s (2017/18), having made his debut for the SL Benfica first team on April 30, 2022, in a 1-0 win at CS Marítimo.

In the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons, Sandro Cruz integrated the B team of the Eagles, having totaled 36 games in Liga 2.

Last season (2022/23) the defender played at GD Chaves, on loan, and played 16 games in the Liga Bwin League.

In this new stage of the athlete's career, Sport Lisboa e Benfica wishes Sandro Cruz all the best.
