Rui Costa, President of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, sent a message of congratulations to Ferran Soriano, CEO of Manchester City, for the English club success in the Champions League 2022/23, following the final played in Istanbul.

"Dear Ferran Soriano, on my personal behalf and on behalf of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, I want to congratulate you for winning the UEFA Champions League for the first time in History. Proudly, as President of a two-time champion club, allow me to welcome you to the winners’ club", wrote Rui Costa.

"Sport Lisboa e Benfica is proud to see three players from our academy – Rúben Dias, Bernardo Silva and Ederson Moraes – giving their decisive contribution to this achievement. I take the opportunity to ask you to express our congratulations to the players, coaches and staff involved in this conquer", concluded the President.
