It is the first of six games left to play in the Liga Bwin 2022/23. In Matchday 29, Benfica host Estoril at Estádio da Luz this Sunday, April 23, at 6 pm.

With the best attack and the best defense in the league, the eagles are leaders and, with the support of the Benfiquistas, will seek a win at its fortress, where they won 12 out of 14 games played in the Portuguese competition.

The reds are going to play the 15th team on the table. Historically, Benfica have a clear advantage over the opponent, with 52 victories and 12 draws in 68 encounters, and this will be their third duel this season, as the leader won the previous ones: 1-5 in the League and 0-1 in the 4th round of the Portuguese Cup.

With 17 goals each, João Mário and Gonçalo Ramos share the status of top scorer of the Liga Bwin. On the other side, with five goals, Tiago Gouveia is the top scorer of Estoril, who will be unavailable for the coach Ricardo Soares because he was loaned by the reds.

In addition to the goal difference (68 and 23), the reds shoot more and better than the estorilistas, with 439 attempts, 39,9% on target, against 293 attempts from the visitors, 32,8% on target.

In what concerns to crosses, the eagles rank first with 635 and a 37,2% success rate, while Estoril crossed 371 times (29.1% success rate) due to Wyscout.

In the passes into the final third, the picture remains the same, 2024 for Benfica. Grimaldo, is the player with the most assists (8). In turn, the estorilistas completed 1190 passes into the final sector.

Defensively, Estoril conceded 44 goals, while the reds only conceded 17, to have the best defense in the Liga Bwin.

In the last match (0-1 loss against Portimonense), the estorilistas played with Daniel Figueira, Tiago Santos, Pedro Álvaro, Bernardo Vital and Joãozinho, Ndiaye, João Marques and João Carvalho, Tiago Gouveia, Carlos Eduardo and Alejandro Marqués (4x3x3).
